Thread: How do I boot from CF card in PCMCIA slot on a powerbook

my old powerbook g4 has bad motherboard , no longer power internal drive.

trying install ubuntu on 8 gig cf card mounted in pcmcia slot. install went fine, cannot powerbook boot cf card.

know how?

not boot nothing right?

automatic installer cannot workout openfirmware path start files. can same if install usb flash drive. see usb section here http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...35&postcount=1 .

going have boot openfirmware think work out openfirmware path files or device.
