Thread: how to force screen resolution beyond maximum

i using netbook has mas max resolution of 1024x600.

running live os (pinguy os) , there option select 1024x768 resolution. tried set , working. since os, think, based on ubuntu, can set resolution of screen while using ubuntu 11.10?

anyone?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
