Thread: Installing Ubuntu GPU Drivers?

okay, installed ubuntu 11.10 x86 development purposes , seems , quite enjoying this.
gamer @ same time , had thought in mind if run world of warcraft on ubuntu.
googled , found it.
did settings , able run world of warcraft successfully.
well, except lag.

pretty think lag caused lack of gpu drivers.....
found how install gpu drivers (i have ati 3300 hd) didn't quite turn out right......



when install second option installs , tells me restart.
sadly drivers not working cause there still lag when move windows or icons on desktop.
, after restart again drivers no longer active, have option install again


when install first option error saying :






requesting help.

we can't without details ... so,you need use nautilus open log filed named in screenshot , @ last few lines in file. should tell why driver install failed.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
