Thread: Orca in a minimal installation

hey everyone,

i've long been thinking current project before started it. i'm happy i've done so, need now.

let me start pointing out i'm trying do: want create minimal web browsing "terminal-system" blind friend of mine. started out installing command-line-version of ubuntu alternate cd. added xinit, xorg, openbox , firefox , configured autoboot firefox in fullscreen mode. works perfectly, including sound playback , full resolution.

use orca have screen reader can read german. magnifying class nice feature.

problem: have idea how proceed , searching google didn't that. don't expect step-by-step tutorial guys. hints right direction great, don't know if possible...

already!

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
