Thread: Regarding update/upgrade of "GRUB-PC" & "GRUB-COMMON"

i using 10.04 lts 64bit. installed through base system of winxp sp3. after problem grub upgrade machine became unaccessible. forum's suggestion have locked upgrade/update of "grub-pc" & "grub-common" in synaptic , running 2 systems side side no problem.
now, update manager requesting partial upgrade includes upgraded version of "grub-pc" , "grub-common". far have not opted partial upgrade.
require expert opinion in regard.
please help.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
