Thread: Thinkpad switches rapidly between ac/battery

hoping, (sort of), has encountered similar problem...

thinkpad switching rapidly between ac , battery mode when battery charged.

laptop run ok on battery, , ok while plugged in charging.
however, battery charged, power-manager begins rapidly switching between ac , battery mode - approx every second. not hardware.

1 thing know pulled hdd thinkpad use in acer machine - think it's kind of amazing can ubuntu/linux - i've done before, , never caused issues.

i'm wondering if power-manager in 10.04 has auto-generated configuration files might have gotten messed up

ok, not os issue...

loaded copy of xubuntu , situation same... must circuitry on laptop, or power brick

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
