Thread: Unrecognized mount option windows_names

hi,

got mounting ntfs partition using fstab here.

line line added fstab achieve it:

uuid=3012dcd612dca1e0 /windows ntfs defaults,nls=utf8,umask=007,gid=46,windows_names 0 0

worked until morning when started said "unable mount /windows" on start up.

when in dmesg says "unrecognized mount option windows_names"

applicate in getting sorted.

ubuntu cannot mount ntfs partition if had not been shut down cleanly.

try booting windows; run check-disk on ntfs partitions; restart ubuntu. still have problem?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
