Thread: window sizing in Unity - settable?

whenever start application unity environment, window opens @ whatever size , configuration pleases. in every other setup have ever used on linux (from tamu in '93 through various 'buntus 11.04 (classic)) application retain window size values had when last closed.

can point me @ configuration file being read, or setting in unity or shell overriding it? last remaining serious irritant in workable unity setup!

maybe off 'net long, fear i've forgotten more know - , half of think remember no longer correct!

in advance...


btw: asked week ago, no response - suspecting no-one knew asking for!

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
