Thread: Xmonad + unico engine: mouse problem

hi!

updated desktop ubuntu 10.11 11.10 , set xmonad used have. had configured gtk2 using lx-appearance now, gtk3 introduced can't anymore. googling found out 2 ways of setting gtk3 configuration:
- creating file ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini
- launching gnome-settings-daemon

surprise second method, fonts better , it's easier configure through gnome-tweak-tool. if use method time time (which can 5 times in hour or days nothing happens) find mouse becomes unusable: see mouse pointer, can move doesn't anything, can't click, doesn't change windows' focus, etc. if execute xkill when happens says: "unable grab cursor".

searching again, found blog entry saying happened because of unico engine (http://fabionotes.blogspot.com/2011/...untu-1110.html)

has else had problem? can solved somehow or there way of configuring fonts through settings.ini gnome-settings-daemon?

in advance!

i have problem too, i'm new using xmonad. have same symptoms describe, have no idea of can cause (you mention gtk3?). while has happened me twice, same symptoms @ 2 different computers running xmonad on ubuntu 11.10. @ both times did run xmonad 0.10 installed source.

happened me, , noticed after randomly "pressing buttons" 2 minutes, mouse started work again.
