What settings are necessary to properly paginate a Blurb book so 2-page spreads work?

i have worked 3 days folks @ blurb, , have told me problem lies lr4's book pagination:

- lr4.4 on osx10.8.3 (problem happens in lr5 beta)

-book configuration:

-- hardcover w/image

-- single page prior several 2-page spreads (panoramas)

-- 11 x 13 "large landscape" size

 

i have found no configuration of first 2 pages (blank/image, image/blank, blank/blank, image/image) such subsequent double-page spread appears correctly in blurb book preview on site.

i've interacted several times blurb support people assure me pagination indeed wrong @ blurb end, shown in image below:

as shown:

-blurb 1st page blank (normal, folks @ blurb)

-lr pg 1 becomes pg 2 in blurb

-lr pg 2 becomes pg 3 in blurb

-lr pg 3/4 2-pg spread broken in blurb

how can issue overcome? if can't lr blurb books useless, @ least 2-page spreads...

i thought knew book pretty well, how managing make p1 lr pagination display image? don't seem other blank page - ie blank/image.

 

as quite book, may need ingenious , adaptable.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
