Why are previews different in CS3 and CS6

i can't see separation between process colors , black on pdfs in cs6. black plate appears printing on 4 plates. in cs3, black doesn't appear on plates. we're using os 10.8.

1. actual software looking @ in 2 screen shots? seems acrobat, there isn't acrobat cs3 or cs6.

2. it's quite normal different previews different profiles. happens if use same simulation profile in both cases?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
