Why did AME stop working after the last Windows 7 update

ame stopped working after last windows 7 update. after initial splash screen, message saying ame not working , program closed. windows message searching solution, nothing. using production cs6. happens whether try start ame directly, or queuing through premiere pro. have tried reinstalling entire package , have implemented available updates adobe. have no clue why happened, ame crucial workflow.

system restore before update.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
