why does pprocs6 crash when i move clips in timeline??? [ error: ... linkcontainer.cpp-245 ]

i editing short film 25-30mins long nothing out of ordinary in timeline. there couple of nested sequences of .mts (avchd sony nex vg20) , .wav files audio (inc 5.1 audio camera).

 

some of channels locked dont move other nothing strange or particualry intensive being done. of clips 25fps , 60fps shouldnt proplem pprocs6!

the sequence settings avchd 720, 24fps,

i running core2duo 2.16cpu/8gbram/ creative cloud os , program on c: drive, footage on esata g: drive , scratch drive o: drive usb 2.0 drive.

 

as move clips in timeline group error come (see screengrabs below) "... linkcontainer.cpp-245"

 

please help

none of searches have given me answer, 1 person said "reinstall software" [nonesense!!!]

 

i days away submitting short film final major project @ uni , film worth 50% of module... fail if film isnt handed in!

that could problem.  it's not capable processor kind of media.  (though wouldn't expect cause crash.)

 

what mean "move clips in timeline as group"?  mean nested sequence, image suggests?  or mean grouped clips, different?  or mean bunch of selected clips?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
