Click won't work right on buttons imported from Photoshop

in edge, have created application user can click buttons , takes them separate scene. however, seem have run problem click works in area of box. created buttons in photoshop , imported them edge. edge of button closest edge of stage work clicking odd reason. suggestions?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
