Organizing clips: Project Window vs Timeline
when setting aside clips in timeline have been modified effects, motion settings, keyframes and/or markers, able store clips future: project window or timeline? lets compare.
organizing clips: project window vs timeline
advantages of storing clips effects/markers/keyframes in the:
project window:
- searchable
- viewable in icon view in addition list view
- sortable
- easy organization through bin/sub-bin hierarchies
- access metadata columns such 'video usage', 'audio usage', etc.
- can delete original instance timeline, thereby setting 'video/audio usage' metadata column values zero, making easy keep track of modified clips have or haven't been used yet.
- can delete original sequence without losing of created subclips.
sequences:
- none of above
the project window was made storing/sorting clips, whereas timeline made editing. why adobe allow store modified clips in sequences?
the solution incredibly simple: allow editors drag&drop modified clips timeline project window while preserving modifications!

why feature important you?
the project window far better sequences storing/organizing modified clips future use, since is:

quote comment :
in way such prpro project assets sequences not searchable, sortable, have difficulties in organising through bin hierarchy ??? , how deleting nested sequence instance in timeline or deleting original sequence, contained nested sequence affect nested sequence asset in project panel ???
regard icon view , access metadata project asset called 'sequence', maybe it's different story?
