Premiere Elements can't import Action Essentials .mov files

i running adobe premiere elements 11. have updated quicktime , premiere elements. use premiere elements 11. when try import .mov file action essentials 2, error message comes up.

 

"this type of file not supported, or required codec not installed."

 

i'm on windows 7 64 btw. have tried restarting computer, no luck.

 

any suggestions appreaciated.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
