Thread: Can't Install Ubuntu 11.10

i have tried using both cd , usb , both official file website , torrent. every time tried install, after shows purple ubuntu loading screen, screen goes haywire different colored squares , freezes. doesn't 10.04 disk. can explain or offer advice.

you might want give alternative install cd try. should let text-based install, may work if cd having problem graphics hardware. if succeed in installing can't desktop up, may give more information on problem.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
