i have ibm x60
not feel smooth exampal iplayer when played in lastest windows works out problem , in fact windows runs indeed. surprise ubuntu feels slow there simple things try frist make feel smooth windows

what spec machine , version of ubuntu running?
have x60 , works 10.10. tried 11.04 onwards few days still ran well.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
