Thread: not recognize windows 7

hello im trying install ubuntu 11.10 64 bit on pc system
motherboard p67a-gd55
, when booting cd , clicking install not recognize windows 7 able have both of them
shows entire hard disc (2 tb) , option gives me delete whole hard disc
how can make recognize it?
have created new partition 260 gb ext3 windows system still nothing
did shrink c partition gave me 114 mb (don't know doing ) disk management windows
know can install inside windows still want install in alongside windows 7
hear recommendations ,

you should try using "something else" option @ disk preparation stage of installation. give youy list of partitions on disk or disks , let choose partitions use ubuntu.

if not help, run gparted live cd/usb , copy here screenshot of gparted window, may give further recommendations.

how many partitions have got on disk @ moment? 4 primary partitions, or 3 primary plus 1 extended partition possible on standard format system.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
