Thread: Overuse of the Absolute Beginner section?

correct me if wrong, seems me absolute beginner section has become catch-all , questions related ubuntu linux. admit have used many times questions aren't absolute beginner questions (as have many other people obviously) continue responses though questions maybe little more advanced. wrong of me continue this?
there seems lot of educated people hang out there , have answers questions.

alternative? "general help"? byt time drill down more obscure areas, seems below absolute beginner section doesn't have many people , doesn't provide help.

there still assumption absolute beginner section?

there clueless , gurus. populous leans toward beginning , ubuntu everyone, believe may best if posting in absolute beginning section moderated.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
