Thread: Remove Hibernate from logout menu

on logout dropdown menu in oneric (the 1 clicking gear in top right) hibernate right above shut down. couple of times now, when i've been meaning shut down i've accidentally clicked hibernate. problem because after machine hibernates can't figure out how awaken again. have hard power off , power on again.

...

either of these helpful know:
1. how wake machine hibernate? missing something?
2. there way remove hibernate option logout menu. preferable, since ever click on accident, anyway.

umm, thought clicking mouse, hitting key on keyboard, or pushing power button once lightly machine wake up.

remove hibernate button menu? suppose ubuntu customizable extent wouldn't it? don't know, , before guff giving out bad advice, guy apparently never got reply either:

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
