HTML5 text entry box variable doesn't update

hello all- when create text entry box in captivate 6, associate user variable teb, variable updates fine when preview in browser. whatever type in text box automatically updates variable expected. when preview html5 output, variable doesn't update. need capture user input in text entry box , publish using html5, there missing utilize teb input when publishing html5?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
