Index.html - Server demands default.asp

the server site demands opening page have filename "default.asp," muse demands "index.html." server not care file names other opener, here solution. use muse create , upload entire site. then, use separate ftp copy "index.html" , create identical page renamed "default.asp" (thereby creating 2 identical opening pages 2 different filenames). continue each update of opening page in future, use muse other pages. work? there better solution?

if default.asp doesn't exist , index.html isn't found server automatically, not have index.html configured 1 of default documents.

 

you might want contact webhost , consider changing default document (and priorities) in order have index.html take precedence. read more default documents here - http://www.iis.net/configreference/system.webserver/defaultdocument
