Right to left (RTL) text direction in mostly LTR files

i attempting create accessible pdf file interleaves english , farsi, right left language arabic or hebrew. there paragraph of english text followed paragraph of farsi translation. in documents entirely farsi, acrobat infer text direction rtl, in mixed english/farsi documents, farsi text reads left right. there way assign text direction paragraph?

how creating document? indesign etc. can specify language block of text, , multiple languages present in document should tagged respective entries. can set language tagged block of text using content panel tools in acrobat pro.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
