Thread: Audio Trouble

i've followed guides find online , have asked in #ubuntu, far, haven't been able audio work. here's what's happened:

reinstalled ubuntu 11.04 because previous install practically unusable (another problem, doesn't matter). when found audio wasn't working, fixed it, using guide here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/so...otingprocedure

used natty command, downloaded , installed ~200mb of stuff, , when rebooted, audio working fine.

installed other applications after that. (calibre, libtorrent, emacs, truecrypt, vlc). next day noticed sound gone again, time, gnome audio control not working.(it showed me warning: gnome volume control warning connection failed).

tried troubleshooting command again, , after reboot, audio control back, since then, haven't been able hear sound. hear slight "pop" when try play music, that's it.

here alsa info : http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=f0...0a5b0f4c9e76fa

i'll appreciate on problem. it's been frustrating week because of this.

if try long troubleshoot command again, output:
