Thread: Can't install ubuntu + busybox v1.18.4

hi,

downloaded ubuntu wubi , installed it. when reboot computer finish installation, black screen shows , says:

gave waiting root device. common problems:
- boot args (cat /proc/cmdline)
...
alert! /dev/disk/by-uuid/...

busybox v1.18.4 9ubuntu 1:1.18.4-2ubuntu2) built-in shell (ash)
enter 'help' list of built-in commands.

(initramfs)

i've tried reinstalling same thing happens. i'm trying have dual boot windows7 , ubuntu, in startup menu gives me 2 choices when go ubuntun above message.

i'm complete noob @ this
if can out amazing.

i'm having same problem haha, new this.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
