Thread: Can't Open Package Manager in Ubuntu 11.04 version

uhmmm, guys, little here please...
beginner in site , novice programmer. i've been encountering problem in ubuntu linux 11.04 version. everytime open package manager, error code message appears: could not initialize package information

an unresolvable problem occurred while initializing package information.

please report bug against 'update-manager' package , include following error message:

'e:type 'multiverse' not known on line 8 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list'




could please me in problem, i'll glad hear either in forum or via email ralph_andalis@yahoo.com.ph

cat /etc/apt/sources.list
is error message when run:

click on new reply , click # , paste information between brackets.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
