Thread: Customize keyboard layout in Xubuntu

i didn't want update ubuntu 10.10, because don't want switch unity. installed xubuntu 11.10 on computer, , far this. thing i'm missing customized keyboard layout. there way customize in xubuntu?

settings are:
layouts:

  • usa

keyboard layout options:

  • adding eurosign keys: e , 5
  • capslock key behaviour: make capslock additional backspace
  • compose key position: right alt

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
