with skype linux user's still stuck in , unlikely ever in opinion come out of beta mode have been looking around viable alternative skype or @ least alternative connect skype network if there such thing available.

surely microsoft unfairly stifling competition not dating skype software linux user's , can't done in form of alternative linux community in general?

there such thing ubuntu forum user's using skype alternative?

having used skype on linux few years, i'd beta quite stable, , simplicity rather preferable bloat of skype on windows (it shows advertisements!).

skype uses proprietary communication protocol, no other client or can compatible it.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
