Thread: Installation Won't Work.... Is it my mobo?
i built new machine. uses asrock p67 extreme 4 gen3 mobo. saw couple of threads, here, people trying install 'buntu via wubi, , have mobo. installations stalled after 'buntu installer completed.
i'm doing, or trying anyway, fresh install cd. stalls when get's firewire thingy... disabled firewire device in bios (uefi?). stalls @ usb core thingy.... if disable usb (if could) i'd end no mouse or keyboard. stalls @ point says something being "killed" , numeral "9".
wonder if 'buntu/linux not ready mobo? or there work around? i'm not installing via wubi. i'm doing straight install intention of doing dual-boot winbloze....
ironic. say, 'winbloze', it's linux that's having trouble installing.
edit: forgot mention. i'm trying install ubuntu 11.10, 64 bit version.
i glanced through review:
http://kdubois.net/?p=1336
guy says worked out of box ubuntu. try 32 bit version see if works. try ubuntu 10.04. try else ubuntu family kubuntu or xubuntu.
