Thread: Need cd/dvd driver for MSI S6000 notebook

here's new problem. started working msi s6000 notebook has button above keyboard open cd/dvd drive. button works in bios , windows not ubuntu 10.10. can me driver can use cd/dvd drive in ubuntu? can open drive through terminal that's lot more work pushing drive open button. thank you.

i having same problem. have msi same button , cannot find drivers it. there other way open cd/dvd drive, know in older versions of rhythmbox "eject" cd , open...

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
