Thread: Problem opening Synaptic Package Manager

so installed synaptics package manager through software center on ubuntu 11.10. when try opening synaptics dash- asks me password- enter password- , thats it...nothing happens :/ when try open terminal- opens fine- 1 warning message several times on terminal:

(gksudo:2407): gtk-warning **: unable locate theme engine in module_path: "pixmap",

idea mean? , know how open synaptics without using terminal?

well, going sound shouldn't apply, , that's thought when first read it, had same problem , fix works, it's strange:

open settings, accessability.

turn on, turn off on screen keyboard

turn on, turn off voice reader

reboot

know it's strange, found in forum , fixed me.

also, don't worry pixmap error messages.
