Thread: Stock Screenlet and the DOW

for while stock screenlet dow has been broken. use ^dji symbol that's symbol used @ http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=^dji. when use "wrong symbol".

changed symbol indu , while seemed work broke again. starting stocks screenlet crashes unless remove indu stock.

looked code bit , afaict following stock quote:

using simple stockquote script see:

so seems problem finance.yahoo.com returns bad data. have thought @ least people using stocks screenlet , @ least people trying keep tabs on dow. why has not been reported before?

, how fix this?

for me works using latest screenlets dev ppa. version using? stocks screenlet updated in august 2011 (http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~indiv-s.../revision/1038) , new version added screenlets in october 2011 (http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~indiv-s.../revision/1068).

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
