Thread: ubuntu 11.10 vnc frozen

i decided upgrade 11.10 10.10. did fresh install - not built in upgrade feature. have installed updates , have working again.

when connect vnc either on local network or remotly tunneled on firewall ssh prompted connection password. enter , desktop appears when move mouse nothing updates on remote computer. desktop frozen.

not in view mode because can logout , in , whatever have clicked open.

ideas?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
