Thread: Uninstall Ubuntu 9.10 from Windows 7 Dual Boot

i've messed ubuntu installation have, , considering wasn't using often, decided remove it. have few questions it:

first, partition layout:

/dev/sda1: windows vista (has non working installation, primary)
/dev/sda2: windows 7 (main os, primary)
/dev/sda3: freedos (primary)
/dev/sda4: extended partition (extended)
/dev/sda5: ubuntu (logical)
/dev/sda6: data (holds users folder win7, e: drive in win7, /dev/sda2 has junction data on drive, logical)
/dev/sda7: swap partition (logical)

uninstall go this?

1. reinstall windows 7 bootloader mbr easybcd.
2. delete ubuntu , swap partitions.

assuming use easybcd reinstall win7 bootloader, need make new entry windows 7 before installing bootloader mbr?

, when remove partitions, /dev/sda6 still e: drive?

so uninstall go this?

1. reinstall windows 7 bootloader mbr easybcd.
2. delete ubuntu , swap partitions.
no. first delete partitions, write mbr.
and when remove partitions, /dev/sda6 still e: drive?
yes. , can resize partition fill extended area if want.
