Thread: Wireless printer using hp-setup

the network works fine on oneiric 11.10 (64-bit) file sharing using dnsmodem router. used ubuntu wiki on including wireless hp photosmart. printer did configure on xp box. did have usb cable connected install wireless on windows box. disconnect cable, printer works xp.

using terminal, sudo hp-setup , follow onscreen. find cable-router network, printer, accepts encrypted key input , setup says can disconnect usb.

cannot print wireless. can send on print job. have connect usb cable printer results. under system settings -> printers [show] dialog tells me printer paused or off. job queue shows 'pending' wireless. have connect usb cable clear pending job ( can't cancel print job ).

a google brings forum discussions 2008...
