Transferring Photoshop Elements 11 files to a different computer

my son bought photoshop elements 11 , installed on computer.  transfer catalog of pictures him , have on computer album titles, keywords, etc.  when tried using backup of photoshop element files, transferred pictures , keywords not album titles or album organization.  also, keywords not in same keyword categories had set on computer.  possible want, or pictures have reorganized , put albums again on computer?

if used organizer's backup command (not form of backing up) , did restore (not copy) new computer, should have had on old one.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
