How to synchronize recorded audio and video on a sequence?
i must apologise, english isn't first language sorry if sounds bit unclear!
when started project tried sync master audio , video files using merge clips. didn't work out , audio , video remained out of sync. programme didn't seem recognize markers in video track , audio track , put them together. result out-of-sync video.
the project i'm working made-to-order video large company , in hurry, decided rough cut byt using on-location sounds recorded camera mic. rough cut ready , sound designer should start part of project. feels impossible synchronize video , actual boom-recorded audio track together. video shot digital camera there no traditional timecode except 1 premiere uses.
when try put video , audio using markers , "synchronize" -command, timecode in video file changes. means can't pick in , out points original edited clip , take similar clip out of synchronized clips. have tried untick "use timecode audio file"-option doesn't help. because of problem can't use edl either.
i in verge of nervous breakdown. video due in next friday , problem i'm having sync issue!
is there way can sync recorded audio ready-edited sequence?
without matching timecode, it's little tedious, it's doable. source monitor friend.
1. in sequence, double-click clip want add audio track to. appear in source monitor.
2. click on source monitor, type "-" few times zoom out timeline, until see whole clip. part used in sequence lighter.
3. scroll in clip find slate (or signifigant audio/visual event). @ frame, type "m" set marker in clip.
4. tedious part. note time indication of clip @ slate, , scrub point in clip used in sequence. find point round number away slate, round number of seconds example. press "m" mark spot , note time difference. should see mark in clip in sequance.
5. go project window , find audio want add. put source window. mark slate, move ahead x seconds , make mark. can trim , add sequence below dslr audio track.
6. should easy metter manually align marks (forget sync command this). can verify sync ears , looking @ wavefroms. done.
