play a symbol

sorry silly question having trouble on this.

 

i have symbol timeline on stage , have stop() on first frame on it. @ point call symbol , want play time line.

 

sym.getcomposition().getstage().getsymbol("symbolname").play();

 

and not work. have these code on compositionready.

 

what doing wrong?

if calling symbol timeline need is:

sym.getsymbol("symbolname").play();

 

also, not need stop() on first frame. need check autoplay off in symbol.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
