Thread: Any problems using Virgin Media Super hub with Ubuntu?


i want upgrade virgin broadband 10mb 30mb. 30mb speed needs virgin media super hub wireless modem provided virgin media.

installed virgin broadband 2007. virgin provided cable modem , added belkin router. on windows xp , remember using install cd, not how used , had specify. after pc plugged in router wired connection , laptop on second floor connected wirelessly.

2008 replaced windows xp ubuntu 8.04. internet worked pc , 2 laptops windows , ubuntu without configuration or setup cd. continued work after upgrading ubuntu 8.04 10.04. using ubuntu 10.04.03 lts now.

virgin super media hub replace cable modem , belkin router. work ubuntu using wired , wireless connections?

want make sure before signing virgin media 18 months. want able reassure virgin media installation engineer super hub work without windows!

i'm assuming virgin media provide broadband, tv , telephony services?? if give them call on 150 phone. won't cost find out.

edit, had on vm pages superhub , it's nothing more cable modem , router combined 1 unit, i'd assume work straight out of box. (but wouldn't hurt speak in india it)
