Thread: Can't Install Ubuntu on My toshiba

help!!!
have toshiba satellite
has a6 vision amd processor
quad core , has radeon graphics card
running windows 7

have bootable version of ubuntu 11.04 on flashdrive, used program ubuntu website suggested make it.
have live cd created burning .iso it.

whenever try load either 1 go familiar screen

has battery logo , little man icon @ bottom of screen, ask me if want install or try out, if click try out begin load , screen go black , nothing happen, though laptop sounds doing wok , loading stuff.

have installed ubuntu on own computer many times, have never encountered problem. (this friends laptop).
have tried both 32 bit , 64 bit result same

the a6 new cpu , think driver video not present yet in ubuntu. don't know if can find thread, mentioned parameter use boot correctly.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
