Thread: Dell Latituge crashes at boot with acpi on

hello,

got brand news dell latitude 5520 laptop.
install ubuntu 11.10 flawlessly, working battery goes fine.
when attach powersupply , boot machine screen goes white , color fade, doesnt react input.
when put kerneloption acpi=off machine runs fine, how can solve or known problem?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
