Thread: How to enable the Wlan hardware by the terminal ? (fn keys don t work) Toshiba NB200

hi,

have got known problem of toshiba laptops, fn keys (fn+f8 ) dont work , cant enable wlan hardware.. since 2 days m looking solution fn keys working gave up...so im searching alternative solution wlan hardware enabled sending signal terminal..

sure wlan driver works right because on installation detects , asks password..but on connection table : disabled hardware..

question is: how enable wlan hardware terminal?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
