Thread: OpenVPN Tap Connection Speed Problem

i set openvpn server using bridged mode, creating tap interface. when check speed of tap interface, 10 mbps. network interface bridged, eth0, has speed of 100 mbps.

speed of tap device matter, , if so, there way change it? getting rather slow transfer speeds consistent 10 mbps, though maybe due encryption , processes being run bridge.

help.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
