Thread: task bar position and not autohide

is strip launch programs called task bar in windows? cam change it's location , can prevent auto hiding?

you can summon unity task bar pressing super (windows) key or mouse hover.

hitting & holding super key results in numbered corresponding tab launches desired operation instantly, without mouse. short tap launch unity search.

change default behaviour:

alt + f2 ==> about:config

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
