Thread: Unpredictable and random placement of screenlets

i using 11.10 on several computers (an asus laptop , hp desktop)

faced small annoying problem: screenlets never appear placed them ("locked" + "sticky"). appear @ random places in vicinity of should be.

used happen time time, lately has worsened point every startup has surprise placement!

have locked , unlocked them, made them sticky or not: no difference.

btw using clearweather, calendar , worldclock. nothing fancy, 1 say!

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
