Thread: Wine blackscreen in fullscreen after installing xorg-edgers drivers

hi, using ubuntu 11.10 , wine 1.3.33,intel gma 4500mhd .recently have installed xorg-edgers fresh x crack . after installation when try run game in wine in full screen whole screen goes black.but can hear sounds.but when run game in virtual desktop runs perfectly.i purged ppa too.but problem not solve.also after downloading mesa intellinuxgraphics , installing driver not change.glxinfo still shows 7.12 devel version mesa.but installed 7.11.2.how can solve problem?

you may need drop command line, remove xserver-xorg plus dependencies. carefuuly note packages removed reinstal;l them all, making sure xorg-edgers repo disabled. may sound daunting, relatively quick do, , think should solve problem.

had same problem several months ago ati driver, , way gnome desktop.

sudo apt-get remove xserver-xorg sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg xorg xserver-xorg-core #(plus other packages xserver-xorg took it)

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
