Upgrade eligibility

i know speculation, it's quite important.

 

not long ago (in 2011) adobe announced major updates every 2 years, , smaller mid-cycle releases come year after.

 

not long after, announced upgrade eligability apply users 1 full version (so cs5>cs6 , assumedly on mid-cycle version cs5.5>cs6.5.

 

however rumored adobe doing away midcycle releases , release of cs7 imminent (days away).

 

that leaves cs5.5 users tough question expecting cs6.5 released, if rumors correct , jump directly cs7 (which believe true) may mean upgrade eligibility broken.

 

if leaves users little choice upgrade right cs6 , again next week cs7 seems little unfair upgrading when know new version immindent seems daft, seems required stay on upgrade path.

 

i know there big push cloud, , new users or users of master collection it's attractive option. there large userbase on design standard or design premium have invested in perpetual licences on years , continuing makes lot more financial sense. think needs addressed before release.

 

a lot of confusion has been caused conflicting information , indeed lack of information adobe, hoping clarity.

as cs5.5 user myself hoping clarity after talking adobe customer representative earlier don't hold out hope.

the general consensus adobe moving straight cs7 , missing out traditional mid-cycle version.

 

it appear lack of information designed gravitate towards cloud.

at present, in uk, 40% creative cloud subscription discount  existing cs users available.

the expiry date of offer mystery deserves clarified.

 

adobe might quite excited have sleeve don't want subscribe creative cloud , come monday might option cs5.5 users have.
