Washing Corrupt Files

i had collection of files on server needed download. view them using acrobat xi pdf plug-in no problem in safari on mac. files when downloaded not opened due corruption. download them directly , still not open them. how corrupt have been plug-in allow viewing of pages? make long story short, able upload them plug-in acrobat.com. files not viewed within acrobat.com no problem, when downloaded acrobat.com usable in acrobat no issues.

 

sort of washing word file saving rtf or frame mif. worth shot if runs problem collection of files.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
