Closed captions not publishing in Captivate 6

when publishing html 5 in captivate 6, closed captions not show. cc background appears slides there no text. cc background  not visible slides.

 

in project, under audio editor, closed captions appear normal under closed captions tab. under captions , slide notes button, text appears under slide notes rather captions. can't see setting under cc project settings refers publishing or under publish settings refers cc have ruled out.

 

any appreciated.

so appears issue browsers. closed captions show in ie 10 - don't know earlier versions, not in chrome 26.0.1410.64 m. firefox isn't compatible html5 published file , won't play.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
